Following Bravely!

In this video, created by entrepreneur Derek Sivers, we see the development of a movement. While the movement itself can be attributed to the very first person who steps up to make a change, there is a lot to be said for the first person to stand with the leader.

The First Follower, as Sivers defines it, has his/her own challenge of bravery. Being the first to agree can be a scary thing, especially if the leader of the movement has been faced with adversity. But for any sort of movement to take flight, there has to be someone to AGREE. There has to be someone who says, “You know, she’s right,” or “He’s got a point.” The First Follower, just as much as the leader, has to defy any insecurity or fear, and stand with the leader in hopes of inspiring others to do the same.

If someone you know stands up for something you care about, be that First Follower. Agree & watch as others follow you. Watch as the movement unfolds.
